How much does it cost to trim a cockatiel's nails?

approximately how much does it cost to trim a cockatiel's nails? How much does it cost to trim a cockatiel's nails?
its easier if you do it yourself, i do my sun conure's nails all the time, since you're '; new '; at it, gently wrap your bird in a towel, if your bird has ' clear ' nails , its easier to cut its nails, because you can see the blood vessel in the nail, if your bird had dark nails, just bearly cut the tips off, Don't cut into the '; blood '; vessel. How much does it cost to trim a cockatiel's nails?
um i have a cockatiel and my mom is a vet and so she trims his nails but for oter birds she charges about 14.95

or you can do it yourself with a nail trimmer

if you don't cut the too short

if you trim them yourself then only do the tips
you can do it yourself just use your nail clippers but be careful not to cut too far or they could start bleeding
The pet store I go to does it for free. It's a mom and pop operation. I doubt the chain stores do it. Call around.
Different place different prices. You can learn to do it yourself.
I take my bird to a vet. who is trained for birds and it usually costs between $15.00 and $20.00 for all of the nails depends on how long I wait to get them done !!!
I use a Dremel to do my cockatoo's nails, as the rough perch doesn't help one bit. I'd be very cautious with cockatiels, as they have been known to die from fear. My vet won't even touch them!
you should call a pet grooming place near you

good luck
If you get it a concrete perch, you shouldn't have to do it at all. They will use the perch to keep them trim. Do you see how they wipe their beaks on the perch and clench it with their feet. That's what they're doing.

Make sure the perch is big enough so the toes do not go all the way around.

I have concrete perches with a smooth side on top so the feet don't get irritated. You should be able to get these at bird shows or on line, if no place else.
